My parents have been a great inspiration in my decision to follow an artistic career. They are both accomplished writters whose presence was well noted in the romanian literary circles.

My dad, Ion Nica, is the autor of  two poem books: 'Spre nasterea din nou' and the bilingual volume 'Poems of friendship'. Both volumes have been released in Romania as well as in Canada. He was my first inspiration in my poetical pursuit.

Besides being a tireless support for us, my mom, Elisaveta Nica, is also the author of the essays book 'Semanatori de lumina', and of numerous essays and articles in literary magazines and anthologies. Through her projects and initiatives, she is an ardent advocate of the Romanian culture and values in the Canadian Communities and Schools.

I have 3 more siblings: Ana Maria- Business Analyst, Irina- graduate student in medicine at University of Toronto and Mike- engineering student at University of Waterloo.

Since 2001 we moved from Romania to Canada, embracing a new culture, and a new life.

Presently i am back on the old continent, in Cologne, Germany. I am married to Markus.
